I started writing my own songs when I was around 12. My father use to work in the local Palace of Culture (in case you don't know what the heck is that - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Culture ), and his band - yep, my father was in the actual rock band! - set up their rehearsal space/DIY studio there. So I was using their equipment until it was possible to set up my own mini-studio at home at the end of 2002 - not a PC in sight though, just two tapedecks, a guitar and a keyboard.

By the time I was ready to commit to my first recording session in March of 2000 I'd already written 80-90 songs, heavily influenced by Nirvana and Viktor Tsoi's Kino and anything else I was listening to at the time. Originally the project was called Outside, and later, when the music had gotten more mature (we'll hopefully get there, hehe) it was renamed Presence. Both times I picked the project name simply by opening the English dictionary on a random page and picking a random word. Of course later on I learned there had already existed bands named Outside and Presence respectively, so I figured I'd be calling my project Outside Presence since.

So now I present you the first actual songs of mine - most of then written in June of 1999, but recorded in June of 2004. The playing/the singing/the overall sound are tolerable, the lyrics are nonsensical at best, but this archival collection serves merely as a historical document so proceed at your own risk.
